Circuit Training

Circuit training has been running for over 40 years. Participants are of mixed age and gender with an average attendance of over 30 people per session. Our circuit training sessions are designed to improve fitness and weight.

Fitness Suite

Our fitness suite is a great way for our members to work off those unwanted extra pounds. With a selection of both cardio and resistance machines available, we can cater to everyone’s needs.

Football Club

Judokwai (Judo)

Originally formed in 1965 by Jimmy Oliver at the Sunderland YMCA and later moved to our centre, Judo is run by John Simpson (4th Dan) who joined the club at the age of sixteen in 1970 and took over from Jimmy.

Lambton Streetz Urban Dance Academy

Youth Club

Our youth group members don't just come to the centre for our sports activities, but also for socialising with and to make new friends; whether it be in the main activities area using our facilities or to just relax in our chill out room.

Girls Group

A great opportunity for girls 11-19 years to meet up and engage different activities or just listening to music. We also educate girls about bullying, peer pressure, sexual health, personal hygiene and substance abuse.

Active Families

Active Forever
This is a project ran by Active Families for local residents aged 55+.  They do a variety of classes including Yoga or Assisted Gym Activities, Walking Football or Active Dance.  A light lunch is provided from 12 noon.  This is a fantastic opportunity for those older people who may be socially isolated to meet new people and make friends, have a chat and at the same time enjoy a lunch with company and become more active and feel fitter.  Click on the image to the right or View the PDF version for more information.
